The Peanut Butter Falcon Review (Advanced Screening)

The Peanut Butter Falcon is truly a heartwarming adventure from the start. Zack Gottsagen set the tone for his character from the beginning and he lit up the screen instantly. Zack was a firecracker and controlled every scene he was in, he had a fantastic debut and I want to see more of him!

The story was effortlessly executed and the chemistry between the main cast was carefree and fun. Shia LaBeouf and Dakota Johnson were perfectly cast and they both complimented Zack’s energy throughout the film.

LaBeouf’s character, Tyler, has a traumatic past and is on the run from fishermen who have caught him stealing from their territory. Since Tyler can’t go back to his neck of the woods, he starts heading South to start his new life and on the way he meets Zack. Zack was on his way to find a pro wrestling camp, so this film then turns into a buddy adventure! LaBeouf and Gottsagen’s natural chemistry was beautiful to watch unfold because of how heartfelt both performances were. LaBeouf’s carefree nature came through and the genuine love he had for Zack was so evident on screen.

The Peanut Butter Falcon is one of the most beautiful films I’ve seen in the past decade and it is a darling little film. My heart is so extremely full after watching it and I want everyone to experience this film! It spreads so much light, love and positivity about life!
